inteGRIDy

inteGRIDy – Integrated Smart GRID Cross-Functional Solutions for Optimized Synergetic Energy Distribution, Utilization & Storage Technologies – is a project that is part of the H2020 Programme and has the participation of 30 European partners and is led by ATOS, the Spanish consultants. Its objective is to develop a platform that helps facilitate and optimise operations in a distribution network, using energy storage technologies and sources of renewable energy. To do so, 10 small-scale (buildings) and large-scale (city/region) application examples will be studied, in order to input different data into the platform.

The case study for Portugal will be developed in Lisbon, in the Municipal Services Building in Campo Grande. This pilot aims to assess and optimise the impact that installing photovoltaic solar panels, charging electric vehicles and storing energy in ice tanks will have on the consumptions of the building, integrating them into a smart system, enabling it to be managed efficiently.

Lisboa E-Nova is the management leader of the Portuguese case study with the collaboration of Virtual Power Solutions (VPS) for the technical aspect, Energia Simples (electricity supplier) for the input of the domestic electricity system and system modelling applying dynamic tariffs, and Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) for analysing the business models that could be implemented with the pilot. The case study will also have the external support and cooperation of Câmara Municipal de Lisboa (Lisbon City Council), which is the owner and manager of the building.
